Victoria GROUP announces the Appointment of Francisco Carvajal a new CEO in Italy. His arrival reinforces the group’s commitment to excellence and innovation in the ceramic sector, consolidating the expansion strategy in the Italian market.
Jose Luis Llacuna, CEO of the ceramic division of Victoria PLC, announced, through a press release to employees, the appointment of Francisco Carvajal as the new CEO of Victoria Ceramics Italia (hereinafter VCI) effective March 3.
VCI designs, produces and distributes the prestigious Italian brands Ascot®, Vallelunga® and Capri®, with industrial and logistics facilities in the Sassuolo region.
In his statement, Llacuna explains: “This is a change that aims to strengthen our management team in Italy to accelerate the implementation of our strategic plan.
José Luis Llacuna said that Francisco is a professional with a long, varied and successful career in management positions. “We are convinced that his superb management skills will help us successfully lead our organization for years to come, in all types of scenarios and circumstances.
With this appointment, Victoria completes a phase of reorganization which led her to create two divisions, on the one hand VCI specialized in the retail channel under the responsibility of Francisco Carvajal, on the other hand a division with focus on DiY channel, Led by Mauro Cavazzoli CEO of Keradom® and Serra®.
Changes to adapt to the new reality of the sector
The changes at the top of VCI are part of the company’s priority objective of Strengthen the Ceramic Division and to respond to the current and future challenges of the Italian ceramic sector. In this sense, José Luis Llacuna stressed that “in a moment of transformation of the sector like the one we are going through, I believe that a new leadership, with new ambitions, ideas and experience, together with a broad and fruitful experience in the sector, will lead us to face the future with greater guarantees of success”.
Francisco Carvajal’s career
Francisco has more than 15 years of experience in the ceramic and financial sector, having held key roles in leading companies. Before joining Victoria Ceramics Italia, Francisco held the position of General Manager of Roca Tiles (Lamosa Group), leading operations in Spain.
His solid curriculum includes leading several strategic transformation processes in the ceramic sector, as well as a period in financial consulting, where he managed mergers and acquisitions and financial restructuring.
Francisco Carvajal faces this new challenge with the aim of Strengthen Victoria Ceramics’ positioning in Italy and to increase its growth in key markets. “I am proud to join such a prestigious and ambitious group.
