This week’s White House Report Card finds President Joe Biden and his team spinning wildly about the economy, the border, and even his age — 80.
“You think I don’t know how f***ing old I am?” he was quoted saying after facing more questions about his age.
He is facing a recession and a border crisis that this week could get even worse. However, there are no plans to fix either.
Pollster John Zogby noted the president’s weak approval ratings in grading a “C,” and conservative analyst Jed Babbin highlighted the renewed focus on Biden’s often brain fog in grading a “D-.”
WHITE HOUSE TO HOUSE REPUBLICANS: ON FUNDING GOVERNMENT, BE MORE LIKE SENATE GOP

A mixed week for Biden.
Inflation is growing at a continually slower pace. He signed a bill that keeps the government funded for another week. His approval polling numbers are averaging 43%, and it looks like he is fully prepped for a run for reelection in 2024. Some polls show him defeating both Donald Trump and Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL).
But the border crisis continues, with thousands crossing every day. The stock market has tanked on fears of a recession, and more than 2 in 3 voters believe their lives are getting worse. Almost the same percentage now report they are living paycheck to paycheck — a figure I have never seen before and which I have been tracking for over 30 years.
The only consolation for the president is that he is neither Trump nor Elon Musk. Very bad weeks there!

Biden had another one of those weeks in which he bragged loudly about his accomplishments, even though they didn’t match up with any of the plain-to-see facts. Call it the “big lie” strategy, call it gaslighting America, or whatever else you wish. But don’t confuse it with the truth.
Biden began by saying that “wages have gone up more than prices have gone up.” In fact, they have failed to keep up with inflation since March 2021, soon after he passed his economic grand plan. He’s also bragging that he created 10.5 million jobs since he was inaugurated. But many, if not most, of those jobs were those that disappeared thanks to COVID-19 and have now been recovered.
Biden’s mental health is a continuing problem. This week, he had to be led offstage by a kind child. Biden lashed out at a question about his age, saying, “You think I don’t know how f***ing old I am?” Now over 80, Biden isn’t up to the job.
On Tuesday, while signing the superfluous “Respect for Marriage Act” — gay marriages were ruled legal and constitutional by the Supreme Court years ago — Biden criticized states that restrict gender surgery on children.
And the simple fact, as CNBC reported, is that about 63% of families in America are living paycheck-to-paycheck thanks to Biden’s destruction of our economy. Meanwhile, the Federal Reserve has again raised interest rates, driving down the stock market. Inflation, while down from 9% to about 7.1%, continues to be too high, even if it has moderated.
Last week, Biden bailed out the Teamsters pension fund with a gift of $36 billion. This week, in his apology tour summit with African leaders, he gave them a gift of $55 billion with an apology for America’s “original sin” of slavery. Meanwhile, as Iranian and Chinese protesters are dying for their freedom, Biden remains silent. Biden continues to hope for a new nuclear weapons deal with Iran. Long ago, he should have canceled the negotiations and walked away.
The Biden Justice Department sued Arizona to prevent it from erecting more barriers to illegal immigration on its border with Mexico. Gov. Doug Ducey (R-AZ) had been stacking huge truck containers as a provisional fence. Next week, the Title 42 provisions, which enabled many illegal immigrants to be turned away, will expire. Even Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) said ending Title 42 will “break” California.
And the Biden administration approved a Washington state action that extended Obamacare to illegal immigrants.
Finally, cross-dressing nuclear waste official Sam Brinton was fired after being charged following cases of luggage theft in two states. The bigger question is how this clown ever got a security clearance.
To top off the week, congressional Democrats blocked a Republican investigation into Biden forcing wokeness onto the military. Wokeness in the military reduces readiness and morale. It almost certainly is responsible for the armed forces’ problems in recruiting volunteers.
